All Members may vote on matters pending before the Society, hold office, and serve on committees of the Society, local Chapter or Affiliate. All memberships are individual and not transferable.

How to Join ISPE

Individual Membership Categories and Dues

Membership	Description
Industry US$269/€219	Applies to individuals in pharmaceutical science, engineering, or technology with an active interest in the objectives and purposes of the Society. Industry Members receive both print and electronic versions of Pharmaceutical Engineering magazine. View the list of Member benefits Please note: Dues are only US$229/€189 for ISPE Members who are renewing their membership. Continuous membership is required to receive this rate.
Emerging Economy* View Dues	Applies to individuals in pharmaceutical science, engineering, or technology in countries that ISPE classifies as Emerging Economies. Instead of print, Emerging Economy Members get an electronic copy of Pharmaceutical Engineering magazine, along with all the other Member benefits of an Industry Member. Young Professionals* View Dues	Applies to individuals just starting out in the industry 1-4 years after graduation. Documentation of graduation status (copy of your final transcript or diploma) must be received within 10 business days of joining in order for membership to remain active. Instead of print, Young Professionals Members get an electronic copy of Pharmaceutical Engineering magazine, along with all the other Member benefits of an Industry Member. Regulatory Authority / Government* View Dues	Applies to individuals employed full-time by a regulatory authority or government agency. Academic* View Dues	Applies to individuals employed full-time by an educational institution who agree to promote educational programs aimed at developing professionals for the pharmaceutical industry. Instead of print, Academic Members get an electronic copy of Pharmaceutical Engineering magazine, along with all the other Member benefits of an Industry Member. View the list of Member benefits
Student* US$20/€20	Applies to individuals enrolled full-time at a college, university, or other educational institution. Please attach proof of status. We realize circumstances occur when an individual may not be enrolled full-time as a student, however if the primary intention of the individual is education, student membership is allowed. Student Members will receive Member-only access to the ISPE Web site, and an electronic copy of Pharmaceutical Engineering magazine. Existing Student Members may extend their Student Membership for one year following graduation. NOTE TO STUDENTS: Online joining is not available to students residing in an emerging economy country since they may receive a discount on dues through the local ISPE Affiliate. Retired Emeritus* US$20/€20	If you have retired and have been an ISPE Member for five consecutive years or more, you may elect Retired Emeritus status by contacting ISPE. Instead of print, Retired Emeritus Members get an electronic copy of Pharmaceutical Engineering magazine, along with all the other Member benefits of an Industry Member. Annual renewal is required. Member Demographic Information

In order to better understand the needs of our Members and deliver the most current and appropriate information, be sure to keep your demographic information in your Membership profile current. Information can be updated online or print and submit the Demographics Verification Form ( 163 KB).

Loss of Employment

ISPE understands that there may be times when you are going through a job transition. When you are affected by this type of life change, you may qualify for ISPE’s Hardship Program to keep your membership active.

Your ISPE Membership is portable, so please remember to update your contact information either online or by contacting our office.

Extended Absences from the Industry – Freezing Your Membership

ISPE Members are permitted to "freeze" their membership to accommodate extended absences from the industry for reasons such as medical or maternity leave. Upon freezing your account, you will not receive membership benefits. Memberships may remain frozen indefinitely until you contact an ISPE office to unfreeze it. If you attend a Society event while your membership is “frozen,” the non-member fee will apply unless you unfreeze your membership. When you reactive your membership it will be at the renewal rate. A Member may have one frozen period per year.
